Austrian Healing Base Camp Volunteer- August 2024 Facilitated engaging and therapeutic activities for children of injured soldiers, primarily through mountain climbing in the Austrian alps, providing emotional support and guidance to foster resilience, creativity, and connection in a supportive camp environment. Provided one-on-one attention to children, building trust and offering a compassionate presence, helping them navigate the emotional complexities of family recovery.
For this COMM 323 Event Analysis project, I chose to examine the 2023 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. My presentation explores key event elements such as target audience demographics, the overall scope of the event, and the marketing strategies that were used to promote the experience. I discussed the importance of integrated marketing communication and multimedia technology in enhancing audience engagement, as well as the effectiveness of influencer partnerships and social media campaigns.
Coachella 2023 attracted over 250,000 attendees across two weekends and featured top-tier music artists such as Bad Bunny, BLACKPINK, and Frank Ocean. In terms of logistics, the festival offered a wide range of accommodations, from general admission to VIP experiences, plus food, art installations, merchandise, and camping services. I also provided a SWOT analysis of the event and offered suggestions for future improvements, such as increasing accessibility and better planning for headliner performances.
In the final portion of the video, I connected my analysis to course themes on leadership, especially transformational leadership, and explained how that style would be ideal for a large, multifaceted event like Coachella. This project not only strengthened my event evaluation skills but also helped me understand how communication strategies play a crucial role in large-scale event management and audience engagement.
